Our vision is to excite and inspire inquiry and innovation.

Our Educational Purpose

McWane Science Center’s educational purpose is to provide science education experiences that are fun, engaging, inclusive, relevant, evidence-based, social, and conversational. This helps build:

  • science literacy;
  • interest in science;
  • trust in science; and
  • confidence in one’s ability to do and use science.

As a result, more people will use science and scientific reasoning for the benefit of themselves, personally, and their communities, globally.

Our 501(c)(3) Status

McWane Science Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt & charitable organization. As a science and technology museum, we are committed to providing outstanding experiences across the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) spectrum that enhance subject matter literacy, creativity, and critical thinking. Our tax-exempt number is 58-1933712.
