Spring, Summer, and Winter Camps in Birmingham, AL
Bring your curiosity and sense of wonder for hands-on, minds-on, science and fun! McWane camps offer further inquiry into science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) topics for children 4 to 13 years old. Campers learn about the deep oceans, journey into outer space, build robots, spend time with our animal ambassadors, and much more. Winter 2025
Registration for Winter Camps 2025 is now open! So get ready to grow your mind this season.
Winter Camp dates are December 29-31, 2025 & January 2, 2026. Registration closes on December 20th. Lunch is not provided. Please bring a nut-free lunch from home, or you may purchase lunch from the Bean Sprouts Café. See menu below.
Half-Day Camp: 4k-K
Half-day camps are $50 per day (not including tax), $40 per day for McWane Science Center Members.
Half-Day camps start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. Campers may be dropped off no earlier than 7:45 a.m. and must be picked up no later than 1:00 p.m.
Full-Day Camp: Grades 1–6
Full-day camps are $80 per day (not including tax), $70 per day for McWane Science Center Members.
Full-day camps begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. Campers may be dropped off no earlier than 7:45 a.m. and can be picked up as early as 4:00 p.m. and no later than 5:30 p.m.
