• Opportunities to take photos of Sash and potentially feed her if she is awake and willing to participate
• Close encounters with approximately three to four additional animals from Survival of the Slowest
• Opportunities to touch or potentially hold select animals when permitted and directed by the animal handler
• An educational presentation about each animal, including its natural habitat, unique adaptations, and role in Survival of the Slowest
• Dedicated time for questions and conversation with the animal handler

Potential participating animals include a variety of snakes, box turtles, tortoises, geckos, a skink, a bearded dragon, a tarantula, and a tenrec. The animals featured during each encounter will be selected by the animal care team based on their health, behavior and availability.

Important Animal Information:

  • The health and well-being of our animals always come first. Animal participation is never guaranteed and may change without notice based on the needs of each animal.
  • Sash (the sloth) may be asleep or inactive during the experience. Guests may have an opportunity to feed and photograph her if she is awake and chooses to participate. Touching Sash is not permitted under any circumstances.
  • If the animal care team determines that Sash cannot safely participate, McWane will work with the purchaser to reschedule the experience for the earliest mutually convenient date. Another animal may be substituted if one of the additional scheduled animals is unavailable.
  • For the safety of our guests and animals, all interactions will be directed and supervised by a qualified animal handler. Guests must follow all instructions provided by the animal care team. Failure to follow these instructions may result in the experience ending early without a refund.
