As a benefit of your membership, you have free or discounted admission to 350 museums and science centers across the country through the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) Travel Passport Program. Learn more about the ASTC Passport Program and view a list of member institutions.

Parking in McWane Science Center’s parking deck is available to members at no charge when space is available and when the member is visiting our museum or IMAX® Dome Theater.

Yes! When you visit McWane Science Center and pay for general admission tickets, you can apply some or all of the day’s ticket purchases to the cost of an annual membership. You can “member up” anytime throughout the day of your visit at our ticketing counter.

Yes! A McWane membership is the smartest gift in town and makes a great present for any occasion. When you purchase a gift membership, you will receive a gift voucher that can be given to the recipient. The membership will start once that gift voucher has been redeemed.

Children can be between the ages of 2 and 18 years of age, and they do not have to be named on the membership. Visitors under the age of 2 receive free admission.

Named adults cannot be changed during an active membership period. They can be changed when it is time for renewal.

You can still visit McWane if you forget your membership card! Bring your photo ID and let the visitor services representative know at check-in.

Memberships are non-transferable. All members are asked to present a form of photo ID along with their membership cards. This helps ensure the membership is being used by the member and not someone else.

The answer depends on your level of membership and whether you have an add-a-guest feature. ​If you have an add-a-guest or multiple add-a-guests, you can have others use your membership to bring your children to the museum.
