Survival of the Slowest is McWane Science Center’s first traveling exhibit to feature live animals. Guests can see everything from a two-toed sloth to boa constrictors and iguanas while learning how animals survive using adaptations like camouflage, energy conservation, and defense rather than speed or strength. It’s included with admission through January 4. We also offer daily animal presentations and educational programs that give guests an even closer look at the animals and the science behind their survival.

Artificial Intelligence: Your Mind & The Machine is the first traveling museum exhibit focused on the reality and relevance of artificial intelligence. Through hands-on interactives and real-world examples, guests of all ages can explore how AI works, how machines learn, and how this rapidly evolving technology is already becoming part of everyday life. The exhibit also examines some of the broader conversations surrounding emerging technologies, including energy use and the role of data centers.
